Hmm... I mailed these maps in to you last Monday (1/12) with the following message, but now you say you're all caught up on posting maps. I mailed out from my web-based mailer to a bunch of people at once. You wouldn't be the only one form the recipient list to not receive it. I'm ftping these over instead this time. My apologies if this is a duplication.

QAPete,

First off: great site.	Nali City is far and away the premiere Unreal resource on
the net.

Included are a bunch of maps I've been working on. They're all conversions of Marathon
maps. In case you're not aware, Marathon is the greatest FPS game for Mac ever released
- up until Unreal that is. The original Marathon came out around 1992, IIRC, and
people still get totgether to play it.	What it lacked was internet play capability.
When Hobeaux came out with his DMRoute66 (Route 66 was a great 'Thon map) I was
impressed by how much the game play still rocked in Unreal. I became inspired to
convert more of those great old maps. I bought the Win version of Unreal to get
UEd and went to work.

The effort that Hobeaux started to bring pure Marathon chewing satisfaction to Unreal
has since been renamed Frogblast: The Ventcore Project (for an explanation see one
of the readme's included with the maps). Hobeaux also recruited Gor Gor (of JumpPad.u
fame) to write a mod for Marathon-style king of the hill and I have included two
maps that feature it. KOTH play is explained in the map readme's and also in Gor
Gor's KOTH.txt. I understand that Hobeaux is working on a KOTH version of DMRoute66
as well. Once the Mac version of UT is out I'll probaly come out with UT versions
of these maps.

Where ever possible I clung to recreating the original Marathon geometry. I added
some eye candy but I was mostly concerned with recreating the feel of Marathon net
play. These maps are not designed to showcase the awesome rendering abilities of
the Unreal engine. They are designed to make it fun to kill your friends. :-)	Probably
the best bit of eye candy IMHO is the heal zone on DMFbWrathNoMore and it's really
only apparent when you watch another player use it (although you can kinda see it
if you use BEHINDVIEW 1). This is not a map pack - they're individual maps. I'm
just releasing them in one big chunk to make a splash. :-) The maps are:

DMFbBeyondThunderdome.zip
DMFbControlledByGammaLight.zip
DMFbE=MCWhat.zip
DMFbHouseofPain.zip
DMFbSandsSerif.zip
DMFbWrathNoMore.zip
KOTHFbBeyondThunderdome.zip
KOTHFbHouseofPain.zip

I've had the maps running on a few test servers and I can always tell the Mac players
because they get all excited when they recognize that they're playing on an old Marathon
map.

Jeez, this is getting long-winded. Anyway, all the maps have 'Fb' in their titles
so they'll show up together in the map lists. As I add more they'll be easier to
find by interested parties. If you or your reviewers have any questions send them
along.
